Issues

The 36th District Court is The People's Court. I consider it to be Ground Zero because whether your issue is Landlord/Tenant, Collections, Criminal, or Civil based, you come here.

I represent clients who I am retained by and clients I am appointed to. One of the first things that is said in court by a Judge is in regards to whether I am Appointed or on Retainer but I believe this should not matter. I would like to change this narrative because words matter and certain things bring about certain preconceived notions.

Everyone has issues but for a Judge, regardless of how many cases they hear or go through, every single one is for a different person. Someone's mother, father, sister, brother, or friend. There could be 500 different cases you go through in regards to Landlord/Tenant disputes but that does not matter because each one has an individual behind it who's voice wants to be heard. No one wants to feel like they are an object on a conveyor belt and I think it is extremely important that regardless of  the size of your docket that everyone respected and is heard.
